MONTROSE, N.Y. - Frank Koberstein, a resident of Monstrose, died on Oct. 12 at the age 58.  
A longtime employee of New York Life Insurance, Koberstein was born on Dec. 28, 1952 in Brooklyn to Harold and Nancy (DeGrande) Koberstein.  
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Montrose, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Interment on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Selma C.M. Baade, 81, of RD No. 2, Weatherly, went to her eternal rest Monday, surrounded by her family.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., on March 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Bruno P. and Klara D. (Wulf) Koberstein.
While a resident of Jersey City, Selma was employed as a professional secretary in the Empire State Building, New York City.
She was also actively invloved with the Jersey City Chapter of Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills, N.J., and served on the board of directors.
While a resident of Weatherly, Selma had been employed at Weatherwood Carbon County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, as a certified nurse's aide until the time of her retirement.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Preceeding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Ray C. Baade; a brother, Harold B. Koberstein; and a niece, Kimberly Smith, both of Hampton, Va.
Surviving are sons, Glenn Baade and his wife, Dolores, Sewell, N.J.; and Kevin Baade and his wife, Cynthia, Weatherly; and daughter, Susan Hopkins, and her husband, Ted, Cincinnatus, N.Y.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Justin, Steven and Michael Baade; Joshua, Sarah Ann, Josiah, Jeremiah and Grace Hopkins; and a nephew, niece and a couple of great-nieces in Hampton, Va.
There will be no viewing. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Klaire Koberstein, she is survived by her daughter, Karine A. Koberstein of Newport News; sons, Wayne E. Hendricks of Hampton, Brian Lee Hendricks of Wayne, N.J., and Douglas C. Koberstein of Hampton; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
