"My great grandmother was Anna Koberstein, born in 1892, she was first married to a gentleman named August Pfeffer, then married my great grandfather Heinrich Reitzel. I have only been able to find her father and mother, Rudolf Koberstein, married Marie Margarethe Bechtold. And Rudolf's father Johann Koberstein who married Elizabethe Voth. From that point I am stuck. I had originally thought that the Koberstein's in my Dad's family were from the Hessen state of Germany but with the certificates I have found I discovered that they are actually from the Bavarian state. I would love to be able to find out more about them."
I searched form this family on FamilySearch and here is the decendancy of this family from the root Johann Koberstein. This family is from the Eberstadt, 64297 Darmstadt, Germany area. This is also the first Koberstein family records I have found in Hessen.
