Coverstone (in America)

Hans Jacob Koberstein and son Hans Georg Koberstein (born Gauangelloch, Heidelberg, Baden)in that immigrated to the US in mid 1750's and changed their last name to Coverstone.  Hans Jacob Koberstein's wife is Maria Mgdalena (probably the same of the IGI, Germany entry for Mrs. Koberstein with birth of About 1706 at Zuzenhausen, Heidelberg, Baden.  His son Hans Georg Koberstein married Anna Catharina Glassbrenner daughter of Johannes GLASSBRENNER, on 17 Jun 1749 in Zuzenhausen, Heidelberg, Germany , Daisbach in the IGI (this is probably the same of the IGI, Germany entry for Mrs. Anna Marie Koberstein born about 1729, of, Zuzenhausen, Heidelberg, Baden.

This line has been extended back to Adam Friedrich Von Kopperstein with wife Anna father to Hans Jacob Koberstein. Here is a link to him on Family Search. Interestingly this source indicates Hans Jacob Koberstein had two sons, one, Johann Georg Koberstein born 1726 in Gauangelloch and another John Kupferstein born 1776 in Pennsylvania. Even more interesting I (Terry L. Koberstein) am related by DNA (Ancestry DNA testing) to this line of Kobersteins even though I have no documented (actual historical records) at this time.
